Necessary reissue of an absolute Chain Reaction classic In keeping with the timeless nature of Chain Reaction releases, Bipolar Defect hasn’t aged a bit and still stands as testament to the inherent minimalist principles of dub house/techno in deepest effect. Subtlety is utterly key to its beauty, playing out a beautifully modest suite of ten tracks rendering the spirit of New York deep Missing: Corridor.

Fluxion beautifully drifts focus from quietly cinematic scenes to signature dub house rollers in his dustily nuanced style. ‘Perspectives’ is the Greek’s 8th album following a few years from ‘Ripple Effect’ and some choice ‘Transformations’ with mutual spirits Deepchord over the interim. Now 20 years since his ‘Vibrant Forms’ placed him in the Chain Reaction calibre of dub.

I was initially going to give Fluxion's album Spaces a negative review. I'm a big fan of Vibrant Forms 2, and expected more of the same, and thus was disappointed. Upon first listen, Spaces was beatless droning, lacking the life and tempo and gorgeously rich techno aesthetic of Vibrant Forms. I lacked the patience to give it a fair listen. "Lame."/5(3).

Joey Anderson and Deepchord rework rootsy dub house trax from Fluxion's 'Broadwalk Tales' album. Joey Anderson brigns out latent Afro-centric vibes of 'You Don't Know' to the fore with hovering rhythmelodies and alien pads dubbed out to mesmerising effect. On the flip, Deepchord furnish two remixes of 'For You', one with a breezier, light-headed skank, and another sodden with tape FX.
